A reservation-readiness checklist before you act

Before acting on a reservation, make sure the decision has a current source, a clear owner, and a known limitation.

Check the decision boundary

Be clear about what you are deciding: whether to research, hold an option, ask a companion, or complete a booking elsewhere. A planning tool should not blur those steps into a single promise.

Record authority and freshness

Keep the source that supports the decision and when it was checked. If a detail is uncertain, state that plainly rather than treating an old or indirect source as current proof.

Name the next review point

If no action is required yet, identify what would make it worth revisiting: a date, an owner response, or newly verified information. That is more useful than setting a vague reminder to check everything again.
