How to prioritize trip tasks without another master checklist
A task deserves attention now when acting or checking now protects an important decision—not merely because it is easy to add to a list.

Start with timing and consequence
Ask what becomes harder, riskier, or less clear if the decision waits. A date matters only when it changes the consequence of waiting.
Check the evidence
A recommendation should be supported by a source, a known trip fact, or a plainly labeled planning judgment. If the basis is stale or unknown, the next step may be verification rather than action.
Follow dependencies, then stop
Prioritize the small number of decisions that unblock the rest. Once those are visible, resist turning every possible preparation item into a top priority.
